Trending Fashion // Fishnet & Mesh

Remember last fall when Kendall Jenner posted this Instagram picture and we were all like wow that is a #look?

@kendalljenner
Well, now it really is a look. And its everywhere. Its been popping up in more than just street style looks and fashion blogger's Instagrams, fishnet and mesh has been all over the fashion world lately, even in ready-to-wear and high fashion runway looks. It's a great way to subtly amp up and add a little grunge to your look without sacrificing the entire outfit. SaveSave

Street Style Inspiration // Kendall Jenner

Regardless on how you feel about the Kardashian and Jenner clan there is one universal truth. They all have killer style. The one I always come back to when looking for some inspiration is, of course, Kendall Jenner. Her street style is probably one of my favorite things ever. She always has such an incredible outfit on and it always looks incredible on her.
When I think of Kendall’s street style I think of simplicity. Recently, I was talking about Kendall with one of my friends and she said that Kendall’s style is very achievable for the average person. After thinking about that for a minute, I realized that she was right. Kendall never looks like she’s trying too hard or wearing too much or even too little. But this doesn’t mean her outfits are boring. They are, in fact, much the opposite. Kendall has mastered the art of minimalistic style and is, arguably, the queen of it.

She doesn’t over glamorize her ensembles, which is something different from the celebrity normality. Don’t get me wrong, her closet is still full of Gucci, Chanel, Saint Laurent and every other luxury brand you can think of but the silhouettes of what she’s wearing are universal and can be found at high street stores like Topshop or Zara.
I think this is one of the reasons why I, along with the rest of the public, is so obsessed with her style.
You can find a lot of pieces that are influenced by Kendall’s closet at most stores. Keeping this in mind you can 100% have a wardrobe that is influenced by her. It’s achievable.
As for hair and makeup, Kendall always has it so natural and subtle, completing her minimalistic easy going nature.

One of the most important things we see with Kendall is something that she wears when she’s on the catwalk or not. That is, we always see her wearing her confidence (that was so cheesey I’m so sorry, I apologize immensely). But really, she is, in my opinion, one of the most confident people in Hollywood. I give her so much credit for always holding her head high and being such a headstrong business woman after everything that her family has gone through.
When I’m lacking confidence on certain days I always find myself looking at pictures of Kendall or Cara Delevigene and taking note of their confidence. And if you can’t find the inspiration, just fake it until you make it. We all have our insecurities but we should learn how to own them instead of letting them own us.

Here's how I would style a few sets inspired by Kendall:

I hope you guys have a great Saturday!

Trends // Caps

One of the biggest street trends this season has been Baseball Caps. This is a result of all the 'sport chic' lines and look-books that have been popping up in multiple street stores such as H&M, Topshop and Forever 21.
The cap gives off an effortlessly casual and cool vibe and is a great switch up from the beanies that we tend to just throw on in the winter months. I like the cap because of how it's a different look from the headwear we normally see and because it's a great way to hide your hair when it's your third day between washes or if it's simply just not doing what's it's been told to. (PSA: It also does a great job of shielding your eyes from the glare of the sun off of the snow while walking to class).

Here's how I would style a few looks with a cap:

I hope you guys have a great day!

My 2015 Style Inspiration // Eleanor Calder

Looking back on 2015 there is one person who has been the most influential in my style. This person is Eleanor Calder. I’ve talked about her before on my blog, but I’ll catch you up incase you don’t know who she is. Eleanor is a 23-year-old Londoner who’s a graduate from the University of Manchester with degrees in Sociology and Politics. She’s been in the public eye since 2011, when she was 19, and from the beginning she’s been killing it with her street style.
In the past year, Eleanor has been making strides in the fashion world by starting a blog with model and best friend Max Hurd called The Trend Pear. Along with the blog which covers current fashion trends and lifestyle interests, she has made appearances at London Fashion Week and various launch parties and was picked up by Kitten Agency earlier this year.

Eleanor's style is very minimalistic, which is something that I love about it. She knows how to take basic pieces and put them together in a way that looks chic and complimentary to her. I like how she knows what works for her and she uses that, while still taking risks with different cuts and shapes. To me, she gives off the vibes of being effortlessly chic and cool. Even her hair and make up reflects this trying without trying look by being kept simple and casually undone.
Keeping El's fashion sense in mind, here's how I would style sets inspired by her:
